Hearty and spicy, these super sandwiches will make you the hero. You can also try the Dolce® Super Sweet Baby Bell Peppers sautéed with grilled chicken breasts or steak for a quick dinner.
- Pre-heat oven to 400ºF.
- Heat large cast iron pan over medium heat and add 2 Tbsp of olive oil. Add red onion and sauté for 10 minutes. Add Dolce® Baby Bell Peppers, garlic, fennel seeds, salt and sauté for 3 minutes. Add balsamic vinegar and cook for 3 minutes or until balsamic has evaporated. Add Italian parsley.
- Remove pepper mixture from pan and wipe clean. Place back on stove over medium heat and add final tbsp of olive oil. Fry sausages on one side for 4 minutes or until nicely browned. Turn over and place in preheated oven. Cook for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
- Remove sausages from oven and slice in half.
- Toast baguettes and spread mayonnaise on each one. Add Dolce® Super Sweet Baby Bell Pepper mixture and sliced sausage. Serve.
