Using state-of-the-art technology, responsible growing practices and a gentle hand, Windset Farms® has been delivering fresh produce to consumers for over two decades. Beginning small with a simple bell pepper, we’ve grown into one of North America’s largest sustainable suppliers of naturally grown produce.

Every year we ship premium quality tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and specialty produce across the globe. With greenhouses in Delta, BC and Santa Maria, CA, we offer customers delicious, nutrient-rich produce year round.

Our Facilities

Windset has become a leader in setting some of the highest standards with regard to seed selection, sustainable growing methods, pest control management, food safety, traceability, and packaging. We never stop looking for ways to improve service for our customers, reduce our carbon footprint, and ensure consistent quality and performance. Operating in Canada, United States, and Mexico, Windset sells and markets over 2,500 acres of high tech glasshouse production – the equivalent of 50,000 acres of field farming.

Windset Farms operates 260 acres of owned greenhouse space in British Columbia and California. These facilities produce year round, allowing us to provide our communities with food grown close to home, 365 days a year. The strategic locations reduce food miles, enhance food security, and provide nutritious produce for everyone to enjoy.

Santa Maria, California

168 Acres of growing area (8 million Ft²)

Located in sunny California, Windset's Santa Maria greenhouse facility produces tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers year round across 168 acres.

It is the largest single site greenhouse vegetable facility in the United States and the world's largest Ultra-Clima greenhouse.

The Ultra- Clima, in combination with Santa Maria's unique growing climate, allows Windset Farms to achieve record breaking yields for sustainable non-lit cultivation.

Delta, British Columbia

92 Acres of growing area (4 million Ft²)

Windset's Delta location is the largest LED-lit greenhouse facility in Western North America. 

Totally 92 acres of greenhouse vegetable production, 48 of those acres grow tomatoes and cucumbers year round, thanks to innovative light technology. The facility uses sustainable practices, including the use of renewable hydroelectric power and biomass boilers.

Windset was recently awarded a Clean Energy Champion by BC Hydro for its commitment to sustainable growing and energy reduction.

That means conducting regular social audits to ensure our partners meet our high standards for workplace safety, fair wages, clean facilities, and employee living conditions.
We believe in ensuring all the farms are compliant with the same labor standards that govern our own facilities. Through third-party certification audits, we evaluate our partner suppliers to ensure company standards on human trafficking, slavery, fair worker compensation, safe working conditions, and local labor regulations are met.
