Grilled Pickled Shishito Peppers

  • 1 lb Gusto® Shishito Peppers
  • 750 ml rice wine vinegar
  • 750 ml white sugar

If you haven’t had a chance to try Shishito Peppers yet now is the time! This super simple pickling recipe combines Gusto® Shishito Peppers, rice wine vinegar and a touch of sugar to create the perfect garnish to your favorite meal or drink. But watch out, one in ten peppers comes with a kick!



  1. Grill the peppers on high heat until blistered and charred. Let cool.
  2. Bring the rice wine vinegar to a boil with the sugar, let cool. Pour over peppers. Cover and let sit in the fridge for 24 hours.
