Now that summer is in full effect, it is time to pull out the beachwear and enjoy the beautiful sun. But with the bright sun comes hotter weather. Here are some tips on how to stay cool and still be able to enjoy the summer!
Water is a must! The recommended amount is 2 litres of water, an equivalent of eight 8-ounce glasses, throughout the day. Try to choose decaffeinated coffee/tea
For the coffee and tea drinkers, you’ve probably noticed that you feel a bit parched a few minutes after finishing your coffee or tea. This is due to the caffeine dehydrating your body. Choose cooling, light foods
Eating lighter meals will require the body to do less work to digest the food. With high-protein, high-fat meals the body needs to metabolize more which results in more body heat production.
