Vindaloo Lamb Burgers with Cucumber Raita

Vindaloo Lamb Burgers

  • 1½ lbs ground lamb
  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp Vindaloo curry paste*
  • 1 tsp Garam masala*
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ bunch fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tsp Kosher salt

*Can be found in the Indian section of most grocery stores.

Cucumber Raita

  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ½ Fresco® Seedless Cucumber, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • ¼ tsp ground coriander
  • ¼ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp Kosher salt

A scrumptious Fresco® Seedless Cucumber raita.

Instructions

  1. For Vindaloo lamb burgers, mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and form burger patties. Grill and serve with cucumber raita and burger buns.
  2. For the cucumber raita, mix all ingredients in a medium bowl. Chill and serve.
