Windset Raises over $100,000 for Canadian Breast Cancer

Windset Farms® has been involved with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (BC/Yukon Region) since 2012 and proudly announced that they would sponsor the Run for the Cure. Over the last 4 years, Windset has raised well over $100,000 for the cause. Funds raised go towards breast cancer research, education and awareness programs.

At this year’s Run for the Cure, held on Sunday October 2nd, Windset Farms® was actively present with a company team. Cases of Concerto® Classic Grape Tomatoes and Dolce® Super Sweet Mini Peppers were donated to every Run for the Cure site in British Columbia for participants and supporters to snack on.

Says John Newell, COO of Windset Farms®:

We want to do what we can to give back to our community. As a produce company, we support proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles that can help reduce the risk of cancer and other diseases.

Donations will also go beyond the event, with 10% of net proceeds from select Concerto® Classic Grape Tomato packages going to the CBCF for the entire month of October. Please look for the Pink Ribbon labelled packages at participating local British Columbia grocery outlets.
